The Central/South America region reported hotel occupancy rose 4.1% to 60.5% in November. ADR increased 7.5% to $90.54 and RevPAR rose 11.9% to $54.77.
The evolution of Mexicos hotel industry over the past 25 years has accompanied important structural economic and political changes, including greater integration to the global economy and the gradual, if at times inconsistent, construction of democratic institutions.
Hotels in Central and South America saw hotel occupancy increase 1.2% to 58.8% in 2019 as ADR rose 8% to $96.25 and RevPAR increased 9.3% to $56.55.
Accor accounts for the largest hotel room presence in the Central/South America region, followed by Marriott International, according to census data from STR.
