With November, the holiday travelling season begins, and with them a general feeling of good cheer, according to the hotel rankings. While Mid-Scale Limited Service and Extended Stay segments floundered, all other segments of hospitality lodging seemed to excel, with steady holds and great gains across the board. On a scale of 1-5, 5 being 'fantastic' and 1 being 'poor,' the average lodger reported a 0.27% rise in Resultant Quality Score (3.65 to 3.66), a 3.59% rise in Facilities (3.90 to 4.04), a 5.52% improvement in Housekeeping reviews (3.44 to 3.63, the biggest change in the average rankings), a 02.55% rise in Rooms (4.32 to 4.43), and a 0.26% increase in Staff satisfaction. The areas of overall decline this month were a modest 1.69% fall in Dining, continuing the trend from October (3.56 to 3.50), and a more substantial slip in Value, declining 5.64% from 4.43 to 4.18.
