Hotwire Predicts 2015 Will Be Year of Millennial Traveler
Hotwire.com today released additional findings from its 2014 American Travel Behavior Survey, which point to the growing power of the millennial traveler.
According to the survey, just under half (49 percent) of full-time/part-time employed American adults who travel for business have ever tacked leisure time onto a work trip, with younger travelers ages 18-34 (56 percent) doing so more than their slightly older counterparts ages 35-44 (37 percent), pointing to a growing trend of blending business and leisure - or "bleisure" travel.
The industry insiders at Hotwire® gathered key data for summer travel and projected ways to save on hotel, air and car rental bookings. Based on information collected this year, the experts at Hotwire found that travel prices will mostly be up for hotel and airfare vs. last year, but many deals can be found for later in the season, in big cities and abroad.
Hotwire.com today announced additional results from its third annual American Travel Behavior Survey, conducted online in October 2013 by Harris Poll on behalf of Hotwire among 2,020 U.S. adults ages 18+.
