Passenger numbers in January look set to break new growth records across all regions, for a variety of different factors and with many of the usual downsides. The latest consistent international and domestic passenger data is from ACI. It relates to the largest airports in October and shows total passenger numbers rising by 6.2% in the month and international passengers by 8.3%.
India, China and Russia are widely considered a three-tiered threat to the US in terms of economic supremacy, mostly because these three countries combined account for 40% of the global population and 20% of its economy. On the other hand, the US is in the midst of a serious trade deficit that many consider catastrophic.
Food cost. The sound of those words is enough to send a chill up the spines of the most intrepid chefs. Blood pressures are raised by it. Bonuses are forfeited because of it. Careers hinge on it. It is undoubtedly one of the most sensitive topics in the industry.
