    Walnut Creek, CA-based SKIPOLINI'S PIZZA (founded 1974) has increased by 1 unit, from 5 to 6 (20% growth).  This is a family/casual Italian & pizza concept, serving beer and wine.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner, with a $6-$15+ per person price range.  Units have seating for about 125 and catering services are available.  All locations are in CA.

    Charleston, SC-based TBONZ RESTAURANT GROUP (founded 1985) has increased by 1 unit, from 17 to 18 (6% growth), with the addition of a new concept called Capriz Italian Feast.  Other company concepts are Flying Fish Public Market & Grill (1), Kaminsky's (1), Liberty Steakhouse (2), Liberty Taproom (4), Pearlz Oyster Bar (3), Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse (1), and Tbonz Gill & Grill (5).  The restaurants are mostly family/casual concepts, serving multiple cuisines.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner, with an $8-$20 per person check average.  Average seating is for about 250.  Catering and banquet services are available.  Locations trade in GA, NC, and SC.

    New York, NY-based THE TAO GROUP has increased by 1 unit, from 7 to 8 (14% growth), with the addition of a concept called Marquee.  Other company concepts include Avra (1), Harley Davidson Café (1), Lavo (2), Rue 57 (1), and Tao (2).  The restaurants are upscale, serving mainly European cuisine.  Meal periods are breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a $15-$50+ per person check average.  The restaurants have average seating for about 250 and offer catering and banquet facilities.  Locations are in NV and NY.

    Denver, CO-based TASTE OF PHILLY (founded 1993) has increased by 5 units, from 13 to 18 (38% growth).  These quick serve sandwich shops are open for lunch and dinner, with a $3-$8 per person price range. Units seat about 30 and offer catering and delivery services.  Locations are franchised and trade in CO.

    Florida-based BLUE MARTINI has increased by 2 units, from 10 to 12 (20% growth) and entered into TX and WA.  The restaurants are upscale, serving American cuisine.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner, with a $15-$50+ per person check average.  Units seat about 200 and include private party facilities.  Trading areas are AZ, FL, NV, TX, and WA.

    Minnesota-based EL LORO MEXICAN RESTAURANT has increased by 4 units, from 4 to 8 (100% growth).  These family/casual restaurants are open for lunch and dinner, with a $6-$15+ per person check average.  Seating is for about 100, with full bar.  Catering services are available.  All locations are in MN.

    MISSION BAY FOOD COMPANY of San Francisco, CA has added a new 2 unit concept called Publico.  Other company concepts are Café 24 (1), Caffe Pazzo (1) and Don Pinas Taqueria (1).  Overall company growth is from 3 to 5 (67% company growth).  Locations tend to be family/casual with full bar and seating for around 80.  Meal service is breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Check average is around $4-$20.  Catering and banquet services are available.  All locations are in CA.   

    MIRKO PASTA of Bishop, GA has increased by 7 units, from 7 to 14 (100% grow! th) and expanded into AL, KY, TN and VA.  These are family/casual Italian restaurants with seating for around 100.  Beer and wine are served.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $6-$15. Catering and patio seating are offered.  Locations are franchised and are in AL, GA, KY, TN and VA.

    Nashville, TN-based LOGAN'S ROADHOUSE (founded 1991) has increased by 9 units, from 242 to 251 (4% growth).  These family/casual restaurants are open for lunch and dinner, serving American cuisine.  Per person check average is $8-$20, with full bar service.  Catering is available.  Trading areas are AL, AR, AZ, CA, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MI, MO, MS, NC, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, and WV.  We last featured this concept on 7/26/11 (4% growth) and on 2/28/12 (7% growth).  

    Burlington, ON-based JACK ASTOR'S BAR & GRILL (founded 1990) has increased by 3 units, from 32 to 35 (9% growth).  This is a family/casual concept, open for lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is $6-$15+.  Seating is for about 200.  Trading areas are AB, NS, NY, ON, and PQ.  We last featured this concept on 4/19/11 (3% growth).  Jack Astor’s is a subsidiary of Sir Corp.
